Induction


As a charity concerned with care, we appreciate how daunting it can be to settle into a new setting, it’s not just patients and residents who need support in that respect! To ease the process of joining a new team we’ve collated the best ideas from across our care homes and hospitals to develop standardised induction model for all our staff. In most instances, the HMT induction will see new staff shadowing members of other teams in their setting to build interdepartmental links and a feeling of being part of a much wider team of colleagues who can be called on for support in every aspect of their work.

Training and Career Development


Health care is a constantly evolving sector. To maintain high standards and respond to regulatory development, all HMT staff receive ongoing training to continue to excel in their current role. Over an above this we aspire to work with all staff to assist them in developing professionally to progress in their career, utilising the skills and the ethos that they have gained through working for HMT.
